Kanye West and Taylor Swift: Why do people care so much about this story? What? You Don’t Know?

Simon Vozick-Levins, writer for Entertainment Weekly, asks the question, “Why do people care so much about this story?” I believe he misses the mark entirely.  He suggests its due to race and age difference.  Nope.  It’s mostly due to the fact that Kanye has the largest ego on the face of the planet and it’s extremely satisfying to watch someone who thinks so highly of himself learn the true meaning of humility.  It’s called schadenfreude Simon.  Schadenfreude.

Obama: Kanye=Jackass

Obama said Kanye was a jackass because of the way he acted at the VMA’s. He said it off the record, but he said it nonetheless. Not very presidential but at least he was 100% on target.

I held Tommy in my lap when he was a baby.  Now the kid thinks he mod cars?  Wow.  That man can modify cars like no other.  Keep it going buddy.  I love your work.

So whats my theme?  Whats my motivation for starting this blog? Maybe I write whatever I’d like for as long as I’d like.  A one sentence post here, a long drawn out essay there, sprinkle of healthy dose of whatever I find interesting and there you’ll have it.  The key here is for me to write without caring about stats, topic, links etc.  These things tend to distract from the fun writing used to hold for me.  I’ve blogged before.  I’ve let it consume my life.  It drove my wife batty and quite frankly, looking back at it, I can understand why.  It shouldn’t be an all-consuming time sponge.  It should be fun and cathartic.  Period.
